I Found A Bang-Cutting YouTube Tutorial That Doesn’t Make Me Want To Jump Off A Bridge!

I swear to god I do not know where my bangs came from. Like, literally, one day I was fresh-faced and the next day I had hair covering my forehead. Was I in a fugue state? We may never know! But now that I’ve got ‘em, I have to take care of them. More often than not, they are the bane of my existence. (Seriously, I am well-known for complaining about my bangs.) And yet there’s a tiny part of me that loves them too – like a pesky kid brother who drives you nuts, but you’d miss him if he ever went away – such are my wispy friends.

Of course, half the work of having bangs is keeping them in check. One minute they’re pretty cute (dare I say a near-perfect length?), and the next it’s shaggy dog territory. And that means you’ve gotta cut them, which comes with its own terror. One wrong snip and next thing you know you’re faking the flu because you’re too embarrassed to leave the house.

If you’re like me, you love love love your stylist, but you can’t exactly run off to see her every 5 minutes either. (Bangs grow fast – those little rascals!) So, I did what any desperate gal would do – I scoured YouTube for a tutorial to help save me in between salon appointments.

Needless to say, there are A LOT of options out there, but I was lucky enough to stumble upon the perfect one for me (thank you, Universe!) right out of the gate. This has become my go-to for when I need to freshen up. I’ve used it numerous times and it’s foolproof. (I may never feel 100% at peace with my bangs, but I’ve followed this video and felt good about my decision afterwards.) I was compelled to share the wealth; so here’s to happy cutting, fringe sister!
